About 9 years ago....Cary bought my oldest daughter Paige her
first wagon...it was the old fashion looking kind....big red
with Radio flyer written on the side....It was such a beautiful
thoughtful gift to give, we still have that red wagon to this
day! He also bought Paige her first huge Winnie The Pooh doll,
the big fat kind, it was sooo much bigger than her. That
Winnie The Pooh has been passed down to my other kids and it now
sits in my youngest child's closet cause he has so much stuff in
his room there's no room for Winnie to sit. Oddly enough about a
week after Cary passed away my two youngest pulled out Winnie
from the closet and brought him into the living room where he
stayed with us for days there after. I still am not sure what
urged them to bring out Pooh, they had never really played with
Pooh he was just a stuffed fixture that sat in the
room. Everything happens for a reason!!

I have a story Cary and I shared the biggest laugh over and for
many years after still brought it up: We were in a bar one
night having fun and drinking as usual, I was eating a soft
pretzel with mustard you know the kind they sometimes sell in
the vending machines at clubs, were sitting there talking away
and I'm chowing down on my pretzel every now and then dipping
the pretzel into the big salt pieces that usually come on those
pretzles. This went on for 10 minutes or so until something
made me look down at the salt I had been dipping my pretzel in
and realized there never had been any salt in the first place
what I had been dipping in all that time was the picture of the
salt on front of the package the pretzel had come
in....obviously it had looked sooo real I just kept dippin.....I
cracked up in disbelief and when I told Cary what I had been
doing.... he said in such a Cary fashion " I WONDERED HOW LONG
IT WAS GONNA TAKE YOU TO NOTICE" and He completely lost it!!
we never laughed soooo hard! there were times just months back
when we would still bring up that night... Cary and I shared soo
many laughs like that... I miss him so much!! but I can still
see him cracking up hysterically!!!

This is another memory of Cary....this was Thanksgiving day a
few years ago... we were all at my friend Barb's house where we
always go on Thanksgiving and Cary always joined us. My friend
Barb was finishing up cooking, the guys watching T.V. We
noticed there wasn't enough salt for cooking or for the dinner
table so Cary offered to run out and pick up some salt for us so
we could finish cooking dinner. Well....once he got out there
was nothing open in her neighbor- hood to buy any salt.
Although when Cary returned to the house low and behold was a
salt shaker with salt...evidentially there was a Carl's Jr. fast
food restaurant up the street from her house which happen to
also be closed but Cary knocked on the door and asked to use
their bathroom they let him in he used the bathroom and on his
way out he took the salt shaker off one of the tables half used
I might add and brought it back to the house....We all kinda
wondered how he got us a half used shaker of salt and not a
fresh new box from the store but once we heard the story we
cracked up and chalked it up to once again Cary making the day
and giving us an awesome memory that none of us will ever
forget...and for Thanksgivings there after we always asked Cary
if he brought the salt? ONLY CARY COULD GIVE US SUCH AWESOME
FUNNY MEMORIES THAT LAST A LIFE TIME! AND WITH CARY YOU COULD
ALWAYS BE SURE THERE WOULD BE ANOTHER ONE AROUND THE CORNER.
